According to my mother I was conceived in Marrakech during a business trip.
I was born and grew up in the Ruhr valley in Westphalia. Since 2019, I have been studying film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.​

My works have been presented at festivals such as CPH:DOX, Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg, Huesca Festival International de Cine, Max Ophüls Preis, and Beijing Short Film Festival.​
